Radiant heating and cooling

Warm water running through tubing in your floor heats the room from the ground up. No blowing air, no noise, no hot and cold spots. It’s the most comfortable heat there is, and it runs at low water temperatures, which makes it the perfect partner for a heat pump.

Floors not heating evenly?

Cold zones, slow warm-up and high bills usually come down to balancing, air in the lines, a failing pump or mixing valve, or controls that were never set up. We find it and fix it.

New radiant systems

  • New builds and major renovations: tubing in slab, in a gypcrete pour, or in panels under hardwood
  • Basements and slab-on-grade
  • Bathrooms and kitchens, as a single-zone add-on

Radiant cooling

With the right controls, the same floor can take the edge off summer heat. We add dew point monitoring so the floor never sweats, and pair it with fan coils where you need real cooling and dehumidification.

What we do

  1. Heat loss and tubing layout for each room
  2. Manifold, mixing and pump design
  3. Tubing install and pressure test before the floor goes down
  4. Heat source hook-up (heat pump or boiler), controls and balancing
  5. Commissioning report with your flow rates and settings
  6. Ongoing service and balancing

Questions people ask

Can it go under hardwood? Yes, with the right subfloor system and water temperatures. We design for your flooring.
How long does it take to warm up? Slab systems are slow to change. That’s why we set them up with outdoor reset, so they adjust before you feel the weather change.
